Wind across the Railbelt
Five utility-scale wind projects across the Interior and Southcentral Railbelt, originated by Alaska Renewables and now owned by Longroad Energy. Each project has a maximum capacity of approximately 120 MW.
The first five wind energy projects originated by Alaska Renewables are now owned by Longroad Energy, a Boston-based developer with 7.6 GW of developed and operating renewable projects across the United States.
Shovel Creek and Little Mount Susitna Wind projects are amongst the most viable new energy projects available to Railbelt utilities today.

Beyond the first five
Alaska Renewables is developing other renewable energy projects beyond the five wind projects acquired by Longroad Energy. Each technology brings something different to the Railbelt.
Alaska Renewables invests in new generation deliberately and in step with the market need. Advancing these projects through later-stage development and construction requires firm commitments from buyers to procure new renewable energy through long-term power purchase agreements. We look forward to working with all Railbelt utilities as they set clear procurement plans. We remain ready to bring forward projects thoughtfully designed to meet Alaska's needs.
